Matte, not shiny.
A wide straight waistband with a clean horizontal seam under it, then a pencil line that follows the body from waist to hem. The surface holds a low sheen instead of a mirror finish, so the shape reads before the fabric does. Worn, it holds close from the waist through the hip and falls clean to the hem, so the silhouette reads as one unbroken line.
