Everything above the knee stays against the leg, so the line reads long; below it the leg opens out and moves on its own. The waistband sits high and wide with a shallow V seam running down to the centre front, and a matching drawcord threaded through it.

- High wide waistband with a shallow V seam angling down to the centre front
- Matching round drawcord with metal tips and a flat slider, left hanging rather than tied
- Close through the hip and thigh, opening out from below the knee
- Plain cut hem at the widest point of the flare, sitting on the top of the foot
- No pockets at the front, no centre-front seam, no belt loops, button or zip
